I raided Keal’thas Sunstrider’s place, The Eye in Tempest Keep.. for as gaudy as a lot of that high elven stuff was, the Blood Elf and the Naaru crystal stuff of that Tier 5 content all looked really good to me.  Netherbane was an awesome look.  It’s not a tanking sword but I picked it up there and kept it just cuz it looks damn fine!  It will eventually go into the bank and collect dust with the Swim Speed Potions that don’t do me any good sitting there in the bank but I can get rid of because I might need then someday.  Same with Restorative Potions, hooked nets, fire festival clothes, troll dice, moonstones etc etc.

Now, there’s a lot of all new graphics for this expansions raid zones.. but there’s also a lot of reused gear and weapon looks.  Even when there’s been new looks for gear, it’s not unique to that weapon.  There’s probably four other drops that all have the same graphic as your cool new sword from Northrend raid.. just colored differently.

That didn’t used to be the case.  Raid bosses dropped unique stuff most of the time. I don’t wanna sound too elitist, I just want to be special, just like everyone else that did it.. and not be confused with somebody that brought 15 putrid bear livers to some nobody quest dude.  Raid boss weapons (and I think caster robes too) should be really something unique to that encounter and be a badge of honor in their own right.

Someday I’ll figure what the heck, just get rid of Netherbane.. it’s stupid to keep it.  For now though I wanna look “special” even if it’s with something 5 tiers of content old.  It looks too cool to vendor off just yet =)

Going back to Zul’Gurub over and over pays off! I got the Swift Zulian Tiger today! That fight with Hight Priest Thekkal is annoying! I’m done with it now though with this SCORE! Not He-man now I’m She-man!  eeww.. that doesn’t sound right at all.

Still no raptor from Bloodlord, not sure that I’ll bother anymore as it was never my goal.  It was always the tiger that I wanted and the Razzashi Raptor was just something to go for while I was already there.

Alea iacta est… “the die has been cast”..

Yes Kevin, to answer your question, Alea Iacta Est (fan guild of The Instance Podcast) only accepts members now during the first week of each month so that’s when I put my level 10 (the minimum level) shaman into it.  “Alts” are allowed to join at anytime so I was able to get Rossa in.. actually it’s Sarossa now.  There was already a “Rossa” on Earthen Ring.

So far it’s been interesting.  There’s 5700+ people in the guild, it’s the largest in North America and might be the world now.  There was a EU guild that used to have more back when AIE was around 4500.  There’s just a ton of people on at all times.  No place to fit into the guild as a whole yet.  There are over 50 raiding teams.  A new 10man one is in the process of forming and I’m looking forward to raiding in it.

I haven’t started the early morning 25man team yet.. there seems to be a need, as none of the 25man teams are morning raids that I can tell.  Forming a 25man would be much simpler than forming a 10man as most of the classes/specs/buffs you need to make sure are there to succeed kinda take care of themselves just from being in a larger group.  In 10man there’s a more painstaking process to go through to make sure you have optimal raid composition.

I’ll worry about 25man after have settled in with 10.

Arguably the best 25man team there (”Not In The Face-25″.. the raid teams all have names) is on Tues & Sun nights but they aren’t recruiting and have a lengthy list of alternate players to fill in spots already.  With a morning raid, I’m not limited by the days I work =)

It’s funny, I’m just used to glancing and seeing “Rossa” so that on my target-of-target bar that I show to tell who the mob is attacking so that I can be aware of what’s goin on and if the mob I’m tanking has agro’d somebody else etc.. etc.. Anyway, I’m not looking for “Sarossa” with an “S”.. so the first couple days I was taunting mobs that were attacking me still because it didn’t say “Rossa” on that bar. O_o
