There’s different levels of quality of items in WoW, designated by the color of their name. Items with grey name are junk stuff with no redeeming qualities, suitable to be sold to a vendor for a little bit of cash, thereby effectively destroying the item. White named items are next up the quality list, usually have some value to someone as a tradeskill item or something of little value still. Items with green names are magical in nature and have properties that somebody will usually benefit from in some way and want to wear/use the item. They are fairly commonly found in the World of Warcraft.

“Blues” are next and have much better benefits to the player to them but are considered “rare”. One of the items the girl looked at in the window was had a purple name.. or “Epic” quality item. Had you played your stupid gnome more than 10 minutes, you’d know this.

TLDR – Blue is a higher quality but rarer piece of loot in WoW.
