I have determined that my wife is no longer allowed to pick which movie we will me seeing. This week she is 0/3 on quality flicks. Take special note of these movies and try to steer clear. Dragon Wars, Shoot Em Up, and In The Name of The King. Dragon Wars just stunk, but for the few bad movie lovers out there, check out Shoot Em Up and …The King for a laugh. Oh well must level my lock now.

Well it took a lot of waiting and frustration, but I finally have everything working well. Tomorrow will be the big day though as I plan on running out in the snow to get WoW and possibly a Shooter, Crysis maybe? The embarassing part of this is that for the last twelve hours I have been fighting with my bios to recognize my HD…….which I had left the jumper off of. $0.00013 later I have a 5.5 Vista performance rating…on a scale of 1-5. Goodnight.

Raging failure! Why are soooo many things incompatible? I guess I may have to go out to Micro Center this weekend after all since nobody local (up north) carries cool adapters.

Just ordered the last of the “essentials”, but will have to wait two more weeks for the vid card:( here is what I just picked up. OCZ Gold 4GB Ram for $114 before $20 rebate, Intel Core 2 Quad Q6600, and Vista 32 Premium for a grand total of $508.96 after $4.99 shipping. In just three short days I will have one screaming @$$ machine……without a video card. Daggone Christmas sucked all the money out of my computer fund, but just two loooooooong weeks and I’ll have my 8800 GT and all will be right with the world.

Ok Scott, and whoever else wants to give me feedback, I’ve been sniffing around the internet to find up all the parts to build my new machine so that I can join the online sensation that is World of Warcraft. I think I’ve come up with a solid machine that will get me through the next couple of years with little to no upgrade.

Asus nForce 650i sli motherboard $132
Intel core 2 quad q6600 2.4 GHz $280
evga GeForce 8600GT 256MB 128 bit sli video card $110
Western Digital Caviar 7200rpm 250GB 16MB cache SATA HD $70
4GB (2 2GB sticks) G.Skill ddr2 800 ram $155
Rosewill r5604-bk Mid-tower $60
Coolermaster Extreme PS 500W $50
Sony NEC SATA DVD+R Burner $32
Throw in Vista and I’m right at $1000. I could cut back $$$ a little by only getting 2GB ram and by settling for the e6750 core duo processor, but how much would I be saving to have to upgrade in a year anyway? If anyone has any feedback, suggestions, or ways to save me money, give me a shout!
