All you aspiring Deathknights should check out Runewatch addon.. cool looking replacement for your rune frame. Has a slightly sinister look to it and it will show timers on each rune, runic power and a disease tracker. There’s a little different skin you can apply for frost, blood, unholy look along with different rune graphics (or custom ones you create) and a minimalistic version too. I’ll be having it load for all our DK’s. =)
Check out a couple of the screen shots after this click –> (more…)

One of the funniest replies to the rants and QQ about the incoming Paladin nerf (or nerf of any class) I’ve ever read:
from wowinsider.com comments about ret pally arcticle..
“Go ahead, enjoy your days of OPness. Just remember, though, that they will come to an end. The nerf bat may swing slowly, but it hits hard, my friend. And then? Even after you are nerfed into safety-padded, foam-rubber oblivion, you will still have to deal with the world’s hate and resentment. You will be Target Number Uno in every BG and Arena, long after the days that you represented some disproportionate threat are gone. And when, despite being nerfed to a shadow of your former OP self, you do actually manage to kill someone, you will get neither credit nor glory. You will hear the mutterings of “Oh, a ret pally killed me? Figures. Stupid OP class…” even when the devs have left you with nothing but Crusader Aura and your hammer. So enjoy, young OP ret pally. While you can….
Love,
The Warlocks.”
You can tell he’s lived it. Problem is, I don’t think the warlock’s low’s on their roller coaster ride were as big a drop as ret paladin’s are. Retrbution is gonna go from the nothing it was to this exalted high that it has been for a couple weeks since 3.0.2 back down to next to nothing (hopefully not). All of the perceptions and way they are treated could very well be generalized as he says.. you can tell he’s felt and experienced the perceived OP’ness of his class in such that people won’t grant him recognition of skill playing it. Problem is.. warlock’s never got nerfed into the ground. Ret could very well go from nothing to The King right back to nothing.
That’s a much wilder ride than warlock’s ever had.. even if they suffered like he said, warlocks still rank pretty high on the power scale. We’ll see what kind of a plunge the retadin takes.
I better duel Systine soon if I wanna have any chance of winning..

So.. this morning, Systine, Nightcreep and I picked up 2 others and went to do the Headless Horseman. Some freshly prot pally (that I guess Nightcreep knew) and a hunter were the two we picked up. I didn’t pay close enough attention to Ooga (the hunter) saying he had done it earlier today already or I would have kicked him. Short story, the Sinister Squashling pet dropped twice.. we all decided to need it (as fair to prevent ninjas) and he doesn’t win the first one.. he curses. Two summons later and it drops again! I’ve done about 40 summons of HHM and haven’t seen the pet yet that I can remember. Or the horse..booo. I win that Squashling though!
Ooga’s mad again. Cussing that he’s been at it 80 times and hasn’t gotten it. Now Ooga has the Bloodsail Admiral’s title.. that tells you he’s a freak at getting the vanity stuff and collecting things. The grind for Bloodsail Admiral title has to have been in the top two absolute most mind numbing grinds ever.. Not being Alliance, I can’t speak for the Spectral Tiger mount rep grind but I’ve heard it’s beyond ridiculous too.
Anyhoo.. he’s pissed because he’s coming to the realization that, as he said that he’s never going to get the damn pet. I agreed and said “probably not.” Then it dropped that 2nd time and I won it lol. It was then that we realized that he couldn’t do the summons because as he had said, he’d already done it today.. bastard. I don’t remember exactly if he said he had three manned it “earlier today” or “before”.. he probably did inform us and figured we didn’t care and just wanted him there for the DPS…. NOT. Was all of our fault for not paying closer attention to chat I guess. Don’t get me wrong.. he didn’t get pissy with anyone in particular.. or come across (too much) that he deserved it because he’s done it 80 times and hasn’t gotten it.. just pissed at missing out it seemed.
Sooo.. now that I have the developers roadblock to everyone being able to get “the Hallowed” title.. I’ve got to start in on all the other little requirements of the achievement. They removed the 20 masks requirement (almost impossible too) or said they are going to. Lots of running around for Rossa now next few days. I need you guys to save at least one charge of your costume rods for me please please please please! The random one doesn’t count.
Other news.. Jobu’s inscription is 340something.. and have thrown a ton more glyphs into the guildbank (3rd page) along with Threecard putting em in there too. Herbs are still incredibly overpriced and I sometimes kick myself for doing inscription instead of just making another 2k+ on the herbs I bought so cheap a month and a half ago anticipating inscription. That was my intention, just to sell the stuff. Nobody else said if they were gonna be a scribe though and I had the herbs (really cheap). I still made about 1,200 gold profit on the stuff I had too many of after skilling up. I mean herbs are just stupid expensive. What was 50 silver stack of herbs would sell for 50 gold. Stuff that was 2g per stack of twenty would sell for 70g.. absolutely insane.. it hurt me to keep milling them for ink LOL.

So in my infinite wisdom, I decided not to try out the new 51 point talent in Demonology with the free respec in order to obtain the new talents in the Destruction tree. After a couple of days with nobody wanting to run heroics, for plenty of different reasons, I decided to go ahead and fork over the gold to check out the new talent of Metamorphosis. Sure he looks cool, and it’s nice to see my old felguard buddy again, but I just can’t seem to find any real “need” for this talent….or tree for that matter. I loved having the felguard while solo questing while leveling, but I had no idea what I was missing out on in the way of dps. I’ll admit it, I’ve become the dps whore that you hate to be grouped with. You all know the guy. He is constantly broadcasting the damage meters and giving the other dps group members crap about keeping up and telling the tank to “grab him” once he pulls aggro. Yeah, yeah…..Thatguy! I can’t help it! I love to blow sh!t up! It’s FUN! Anyhow, I digress. The metamorphosis give you 30 seconds to be a demon (supposedly Illidan) in which time you still have function over your summoned demon, still have the ability to cast damage spells, and three stance specific (yes metamorphosis is a stance) talents: Demon Charge, Demon Growl, and Cleave. Demon Charge is pretty self explanatory in the fact that you, well, charge your target stunning him for 1.5 seconds. Demon Growl taunts all mobs within 10 yards. (yes..a cloth wearing toon given the talent to pull every mob around you) Cleave hits your target and two nearby mobs for 110 shadow damage with a six second cooldown. It should be noted that in “demon form” warlocks get a 600% armor boost, but really, what is 600% cloth armor? ONE PLATE BRACER! Now you may set up the argument that one can still cast ranged spells from this form. That’s correct, but why waste the global cooldown of casting the spell if you’re planning on casting in the first place? Another might bring up the fact that 30 seconds is plenty of time to melee down 1-2 equal or lower level mobs. Fine….if you have a weapon designed for that! My staff kicks a decent amount of ass. I have 250 spell power on it! And a whopping 69 dps melee! So just how long does it take to get the center of a tootsie roll pop? Just long enough to expire your 30 seconds in “demon form” and be stuck trying to melee one, or more, mobs…..IN CLOTH! Sure he looks cool, but I’m re-rolling destruction.

I’ve taken up inscription on Jobu.. only 61 shaman atm.. but I’ll play him up, will just take awhile so if you have plans on being an inscriptionist, go for it! I did put one of several major glyphs I’ve made into the guildbank for mains. If you want more for alts I can certainly make ya some, but i’m trying to recoup the cost of the herbs I bought with early high cost glyphs in AH. Just let me know here or in game what you want and if I’ve got it (and the mats, I’ll make!)
Almost all the minor glyphs are discovered recipes.. I think there’s 61 of them I think and it’s on a 24 hour cooldown discovery… so it’s gonna take awhile before I get all the minor’s. If you can’t wait, expect to pay a premium for the minors over the majors for awhile in the AH, probably.
If you didn’t know, you take the glyph and you stand near the Lexicon of Power in the room where the inscription trainer is.. the floating book thing. Find it by talking to guard in old world city. There you can click the glyph and should automagically open up your glyph window and you can click the blue glowy hand on available, appropriate (major/minor) glyph slot.

Echoes of Doom patch woes.. I feel a little doomed. I didn’t read everything about patch 3.0.2 for WoW.. but there were a bunch of things I was afraid of that wouldn’t be in any patch notes.. things that came true =(
World servers.. at least Hydraxis that kept coming down. Every few minutes. That made saving all the changes I’m having to make resetting up my UI a chore.. have to log completely out of the game to save them. Not crash out.. camp out. Most of my addons either still work or have updates for 3.0. Switching over to Bartender4 though will take me a good bit of time to reset up all my buttons.. and I have a lot of new buttons for Rossa. It’s the redoing all the keybinding and setting up every bar for dual-boxing that’s gonna be the time consuming bit. Will be worth it in the end, but it sure is a hassle. Bartender4 has a built in “snap to” setting.. the bar aligning functions that will allow exact positioning aren’t included yet. Can’t go back to Bartender3, it doesn’t work so I’m just gonna wait out the inclusion of the aligning features.. unless it takes too long then I’ll try Xperl or go back to agUnitFrames *shrug*
The realization that I’m gonna have to do this all over again for every toon.. /shudder.
Mailbox lag.. AH lag.. Addons that are half borked.. like Auctioneer making it almost impossible to use the AH.. guess I’ll just disable them until they are stable. Only addons that don’t really work right (seemingly) are ancillary ones, like Auctioneer, Arkinventory, Itemsync etc.. some I have installed but I really didn’t test before I gave up for the day like Baud Mark (my favorite raid icon assigner) or Pallypower.
At least I didn’t “lose” my mounts when I learned them as spells like a lot of hunters (others too?) did. It’s really weird to hit “B” and only my backpack opens and the first panic of opening my bank and seeing only the few default spaces kinda freaked me out for a sec. /facepalm
I’m going to make a few very simple and basic profiles up for the massive quantities of kids alts and show them how to load profiles hah. They can add in and sort all their own abilites. Megan who just turned 10 yesterday and is allowed to play now.. well I’ll probably set her two characters up for her all nice and arranged so she can just figure out how to play and not have any UI worries. The other two girls are savvy enough to figure out what and where they want their own stuff in the UI.

WoW Ace Updater will be going bye bye soon. I’m sorry to see it go but I understand why they aren’t going to continue it’s use. Wowace.com had huge bandwidth bills due to massive use of the updater they developed for all the ace addons in their repository. Thousands of dollars a month worth of bandwidth they say. Curse.com had been ponying up money for months for wowace.com’s BW bills but will no longer do so.
A couple of the main developers at WA have been employed now by Curse and the Curse Client updater is coming along people have said. It’s not there yet though apparently. I’ll find out soon I guess. There is no way to install without externals yet though. That means for each addon you have to install (and WoW has to load) all the code libraries that the addon uses.. many of them over and over and over as many addons share the same libraries. WAU allowed users to only install and load into wow each library only once, saving a lot of WoW booting up time. I sure hope that the Curse client will include that option too.
Another option is wowmatrix.. I’m a little more inclined to trust Curse’s client than wowmatrix but meh, I haven’t looked into much yet. I did find something I found funny though on wowmatrix’s “safe-computing” page about how to protect yourself from people trying to infect/keylog you.. one of their nuggets of wisdom..
“visiting a website that prompts you to install a program that could contain a keylogger or spyware…”
Isn’t that exactly what they are asking you to do? They certainly wouldn’t have a virus/trojan/keylogger in their executable because they say they don’t and are warning you that somebody else might try to do that in the exact way they are. Aaah I love the smell of irony in the morning.

WoW whore has 36 accounts, raids by himself.
n what is perhaps the most shining example of obsession and geekiness I have ever seen, a fella by the name of Bradster has 36 World of WarCraft accounts that he plays on 11 computers simultaneously. He mainly seems to be doing it because he doesn’t like to rely on so many other people to get a raid going, which includes attacking the Alliance capital cities, and on that front I can totally see where he’s coming from.
I hate those Alliance douchebags too, but I’m not about to drop $5711 per year like Bradster is. The best way to get to them is to just live well, right? Well, Bradster doesn’t appear to be letting the Alliance off the hook so easily, as he plans on picking up 36 copies of Wrath of the Lich King on day one, spending around $1500, just so he can have a raid group of level 80 Shamans terrorizing Stormwind as soon as possible.
Read on to see how this crazy man manages to control all of these characters…
