I have another SC2 Beta key to give away.  Anyone else interested?  The beta is closing at the end of May for unknown period of time.  They say it will reopen several weeks before the launch on 7/27/10 though.  Let me know.

Portal.  I’d heard about it, heard the song about it, knew about it.  Never got it.

Now that’s it’s free (till 5/24/10) I have it!  Pretty fun game with what seems like twisted logic but once you get each step it all makes sense.  I’ll try and promise to keep the “cake is a lie” crap to a minimum.

I didn’t have Steam either.  I’d heard of a few really good deals on games through it before.  I just never cared enough.  I have it now and might actually get some of the stuff that goes on sale.   We’ll see.

Speaking of new games.. Red Dead Redemption comes out today.  Hard to resist a good western and this looks like a good game.  Even if the kids won’t be playing it, I’m considering picking it up this week.

Finally have a morning raid team going!  Jason and I are going strong together in it.  We’ve made our way to Queen in the first week together basically.  We have a few that haven’t been in Icecrown Citadel yet and a chunk that have been partially through and one that’s been through it all seemingly.

We’ve made a few mistakes in fighting there, but we’ve all learned pretty fast and have adapted to the fights well.  We play together on Wed/Fri/Mon mornings.  I’d like to start an hour earlier but it’s not gonna work out for a few others.  All the raid teams in <alea iacta est> have names.. since we are a morning crew fueled on copious amounts of coffee, we named our team:

I guess this stuff isn’t out yet.. is in testing on the PTR now or something.  Sure made it sound like it was rolled out now though.

Crikett missed her old nekkid butt EQ sigs.. and wanted a new one.  Take yer pick or tell me if you decide you want a different twist.

With the help of the 15% buff, our guild downed Lich King 25-man version. We had our frustrations and our player burn out. Shadowslaya left after being passed over for loot (before we downed him, Thank God!) Here is a picture if you wanna see our rag tag group.

Looking forward to Cata and Starcraft III. Socially Inept is a fine and dandy guild, I do miss playing with friends though. To bad it just didn’t come together.

Well.. since I’m playing Jobu a lot now and in a guild.. with a guild website forums… and it’s Tuesday and the servers are down.. I have caught you a delicious bass.. no.. no.. NO! I have made a new signature graphic.

I moved Jobu off the 2nd account onto the first and transfered him.  I am playing with Crikett and a few of the old Darkblood EQ people.  A very few.  Hopefully Dawes will come over to this server too after he gets settled in Korea.  I’m not sure who he’s bringing.. his rogue is the best but doesn’t seem to be needing anything that he could get running with <Wreck List>.  *shrug*  I guess whoever he wants to play still will be who he brings.  Would be a little boring to be running stuff that you’d never improve your character with.  That’s just me though I guess.

Anyone else out there in it yet?

Chris Hash’s WoW account was hacked… again.. most stuff in <Autonomous Collective>’s guildbank was gone.. I reported the incident to the GM’s and our stuff should be restored again soon I hope.  Go go $6.50 peace of mind, shipping included.  Anyone that doesn’t have an authenticator yet is, well.. just silly.  That’s a nice way of putting it.

I removed Hash’s two toons from the guild while the jerk on his account was online.  I can’t remember him having any other characters in the guild.  Threecard and Fourtune were the only ones, right?

If you aren’t gonna run noscript in Firefox (or the equivalent in IE) then at least keep your operating system up to date with patches and most importantly.. keep Adobe’s FLASH PLAYER UPDATED.  Java too if you have it installed.. especially if you insist on using friggin porn sites.  Shame on you for that.   You can become infected with keyloggers injected into your system by visiting sites with harmful flash embedded in them that exploit vulnerabilities in un-updated Flash players.

Use Spybot Seek and Destroy and Hijack This and a good Anti Virus.. even a free one, many of which are better than ones you pay for *cough* Norton *coughsucks*.. keep em updated and scan.

If you just can’t be bothered to keep your computer as safe as possible from predators (it’s not just your wow account, but if you bank online.. retirement plan online.. jeez you are just asking for it..  well get an authenticator at least for 6 bucks for WoW.  It alone won’t stop somebody determined from hacking you if your machine is vulnerable.. but it really is a big enough deterrent that most folks aren’t going to go to the lengths necessary (timing man in the middle attacks against you while you log in on your compromised machine) to save your account.
