I would like any suggestions to save money and maintain/increase performance. My main goal is to run WoW better.

Harddrive 60@ I don’t need much space. I want reliablility, quiet speed and a great price.

Monitor 160$ (Monitor went down to 150$ today so I went ahead and bought it)

Video Card 135$ How many pipelines miniumum? They all seem to have good memory on them, what else do I need to look for? The specs listed on newegg say

Power Connector  2 x 6 Pin

My power supply seems to only have 1 6 pin and it is express or something. Maybe I misunderstand and the video card both plug into the motherboard?

I found this EVGA 512-P3-N973-TR GeForce 9800 GT 512MB 256-bit GDDR3 PCI Express 2.0 x16 The other one seemed to be more then I needed. This one only requireds the 1 6 pin power connections that my power supply has. I am open to suggestions though.

CPU 168$ Duel core is all I need (wow doesn’t use more then that) the 45m (or whatever) is important for heat and energy use, is 3.0 speed the best for this price or is there a lesser one for a better price that performs simularly?

Motherboard 97$ The above CPU says it can use DDR3, should I seped the extra to get a board that uses DDR3?

Memory 45$ This is 4g of DDR2, would be around 90$ to move into DDR3

OS 99$ Vista blah… can’t imagine the ultimate version to be usefull to me.

Combo case/PS 79$ is 550w enough? Mid-tower is going to be big enough for the video card?

I tried to do some research but I would just get overwhelmed. Most of it has free shipping. Total is 866$.

I don’t know if I need 4k ram but 45$ seemed good. I’ll be supprised if I picked the right motherboard and CPU and I just get overwhelmed on the video cards. Thanks for any help.

Doing good. Assembled it last night and used the wrong screws to put in the motherboard. Called some geek in the yellow pages to find out how bif of a deal it was that the Mobo was wiggling a little bit. Your website is the first one I put on my favorites :D . Installing WoW now, will be done in 5 – 6 hours I imagine.

Vista isn’t to bad so far, it seems to take a lot longer to download stuff. I thought it was just Chandra’s computer but I think it is Vista.
