Fix for MSBT

Edited three files to make Mik’sScrollingBattleText comply with the new combat log changes.

~~Download them and unzip them into this folder —> C:\Program Files\World of Warcraft\interface\addons\MikScrollingBattleText~~

Replacing the files there of course.

Update: Not needed anymore, mod author Mikord finally came back to update it. Removed the files from here.

Power Aura Set

Amris, here’s the three power aura’s that I still use. I’ve lost the other abilities I used to use PA with.. Divine Plea and Sacred Shield. That’s a whole ‘nother post though.

A big ugly screaming face for when you do not have Righteous Fury up (only shows when you are in Prot spec). A Divine Protection active indicator and small marker and a timer for Forbearance (not really as necessary anymore) but meh..

Copy that and paste into Power Aura when you hit the “import set” button.

Launcher Problem

If you are having trouble getting WoW’s launcher program to go more than a little bit into the red bar before freezing up, then try turning off your Anti Virus software. It was driving me crazy. Snoozing my AV software worked and the patch is “initializing” again!

I had the background downloader grab the 4.7G patch some time ago.. have ~1.4 gigs of updated stuff to grab though, seemingly. Now to just find some glue to put this hair back on my scalp.

Well I sent a question to The Instance about our guild tabard. It kinda suprised me when I was listening to the podcast this weekend and mine was the first question. Not exactly 15 minutes of fame or anything but it was a nice pick-me-up after a long horrible night at work, though.

Oh.. and I did a new tag-sig for our 25 man team.

Will anyone currently playing WoW be using the RealID? I think I’ll give it a try. The “friends of friends” being able to see your real name is a bit of a turn off. I don’t understand why they can’t just have the option to use a username that is shown instead of forcing real name to expand their social networking aspect of it.

New Raid Team

Finally have a morning raid team going! Jason and I are going strong together in it. We’ve made our way to Queen in the first week together basically. We have a few that haven’t been in Icecrown Citadel yet and a chunk that have been partially through and one that’s been through it all seemingly.

We’ve made a few mistakes in fighting there, but we’ve all learned pretty fast and have adapted to the fights well. We play together on Wed/Fri/Mon mornings. I’d like to start an hour earlier but it’s not gonna work out for a few others. All the raid teams in have names.. since we are a morning crew fueled on copious amounts of coffee, we named our team:

Well.. since I’m playing Jobu a lot now and in a guild.. with a guild website forums… and it’s Tuesday and the servers are down.. I have caught you a delicious bass.. no.. no.. NO! I have made a new signature graphic.

I moved Jobu off the 2nd account onto the first and transfered him. I am playing with Crikett and a few of the old Darkblood EQ people. A very few. Hopefully Dawes will come over to this server too after he gets settled in Korea. I’m not sure who he’s bringing.. his rogue is the best but doesn’t seem to be needing anything that he could get running with . *shrug* I guess whoever he wants to play still will be who he brings. Would be a little boring to be running stuff that you’d never improve your character with. That’s just me though I guess.
